Wanted: A Little Domestication

The big guy had his preschool Halloween party this morning. All of the kids looked so cute! They went trick-or-treating around the building and sang songs for the parents. Then they each had to come up to the front of the class, stand by the teacher and tell the class a)who they were dressed as and b)where they got their costume.

Most kids said something like "it was my brother's" or "the costume store".

Then the cute little boy ahead of big brother got up. He was also a pirate and told the class that his mom made his costume. All of the moms complimented her (and secretly felt inadequate). It even had rivets, for pete's sake!

Then big brother followed with his pirate costume. He announced that he was Captain Hook. The teacher asked where he got his costume.

His answer?

"The UPS truck."

I think mommy needs to become a bit more domesticated and stop shopping online! :)
